The Patriots have brought back a key member of their special teams unit.
Today, New England re-signed punter Ryan Allen to a one-year deal, keeping him with the team that signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2013.

Allen has not relinquished the job since joining the Patriots. He beat out Zoltan Mesko that summer for the job. And while he's been reliable, punters come and go. It wouldn't be surprising to see the Patriots add another punter before training camp to create competition.
