In preparations for this Sunday’s AFC divisional-round game against the Los Angeles Chargers, it looks like the New England Patriots will have one more weapon to get ready for.
It was announced on Monday, that the Chargers have activated tight end Hunter Henry to their active roster from the physically unable to perform list. Henry suffered a torn ACL in May and has not played this season; but because of this move, he could be eligible to take part in the upcoming playoff game.
In only his second season in the league, Henry caught 45 passes for 549 yards and four touchdowns last year. Given the potential he’s brought on early in his career, Patriots’ head coach Bill Belichick and company know he’s one to look out for.
“He’s a very talented player,” said Belichick in a conference call on Monday. “He’s got great receiving skills. He’s a threat in the passing game. He’s another brick on the pile that we’ll have to deal with.
The Patriots and the Chargers matchup is set for Sunday, Jan. 13 at 1:05pm.
