Patriots players react to Malcolm Butler and Danny Amendola signing elsewhere

The NFL offseason is well underway, and a ton of moves, trades and signings were made yesterday.

Two of those moves were the departure of New England Patriots’ star players Malcolm Butler and Danny Amendola. Butler agreed to a five-year, $61 million contract with the Tennessee Titans, while Amendola signed a two-year, $12 million contract with the Miami Dolphins.

Different players had different reactions to their teammates’ departures. While Devin and Jason McCourty were excited for Butler’s payday, Tom Brady, Julian Edelman and Duron Harmon were a bit more emotional in their posts. It’s definitely a bittersweet time for all.
