An already good defense just got better.
The Buffalo Bills have signed Pro Bowl cornerback Vontae Davis to a one-year, $5 million deal. He is guaranteed $3.5 million.
Davis only played in five games in 2017 due to groin and core injuries and was released by the Indianapolis Colts, his most recent employer, in November. The 29-year-old registered 16 tackles and defended two passes.
The veteran also had free agent visits with 49ers, Browns, Raiders and Dolphins, who has he has played for before. However, his best years were with Indianapolis.
In 2014, his best statistical season, Davis, playoffs included, had four interceptions, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, 50 solo tackles and 27 passes defended.
