John’s Well-Educated Guesses: Week 13 - The Recap
Every week I make predictions about how things will play out
in the game. I’m a man of integrity and
I always answer for my predictions. It’s
time to pay the piper.
Prediction: No sacks for Pats D – We are super
understaffed at Defensive End, and I think the priority is keeping Taylor in
the pocket. He is elusive and will be
willing to throw the ball away, so while the defense is effective, I don’t
think they get a sack.
Result: I am happy to report that the Pats D was able
to manage 4 sacks. Newcomer Eric Lee was
able to show some production, and the defense overall has rounded into
shape. Never flashy, but they put up the
important plays when needed.
Prediction: Pats defense keeps red zone efficiency below
50% - Bend but don’t break baby. The
defense has gotten to the point where they give up yards, but make it tough to
score tuddies. I think for every red
zone visit the Bills get at most one tuddy.
Hard to win when you kick field goals.
Result: Does no touchdowns count? Is that good?
The Bills ripped off chunk yardage all day, but couldn’t do anything in
the red zone.
Prediction: Gostowski 100% - I’m saying he is back and he
is going to hit all his attempts.
Result: Nailed it! He hit
everything he had a chance at. I was a little
nervous because the broadcast kept talking about how windy it was. No matter.
Stevie G is back baby.
Prediction: 35-17 – Yea I know I’m a homer and have
picked the Patriots every week, but this just feels right.
Result: I really did think we would win handily. Not 23-3, but the point differential was just
about there.
