The Patriots took on the Lions in their third preseason game and it was a HELL of a game. The Patriots starting offense looked unstoppable and the starting defense created two turnovers, the first unit played most of the first half.

The Lions backups were very good and came roaring back in the second half taking the lead 28-24 in the fourth quarter. The Patriots defense stunk and the offense couldn’t do anything. Bad!

Jimmy G had the chance to make shit happen at the end. He led the offense to a field goal. The defense made a stop. Stephen Gostkowski hit the winning field goal with time expiring.

The story of the night is the knee injury to Julian Edelman. Looks initially like just a simple knee sprain, but some are scared of an ACL tear.

Final Score: 30-28 Pats Win.
