Patriots, Celtics playfully exchange championship barbs on Twitter

One of the best things about being a Boston sports fan is seeing the love and admiration all four of the city's major sports teams have for each other.

Yesterday was World Emoji Day, which I had no idea was a thing, and the Celtics and Patriots had a fun, championship-themed Twitter exchange in honor of it.



Some people in the Celtics' mentions took it the wrong way, but it seemed to be all in good fun. The Celtics and Patriots have had tons of support from each other over the years, especially the last couple. Isaiah Thomas has shown up to a Patriots games couple games, former Patriot LeGarrette Blount was a regular at Celtics games, Bill Belichick goes fairly often, etc.

No harm done here.
