Patriots sign WR Andrew Hawkins

Veteran wide receiver Andrew Hawkins announced he is signing a one-year deal with the Patriots.
Hawkins spent the last three seasons in Cleveland and reportedly had bigger offers from other teams, but his decision to want to play for a championship topped everything else.
With an already loaded wide receiver unit, Hawkins is far from a shoe-in to make the 53-man roster. But his addition puts another body in training camp and he could provide some insurance if someone else gets injured.
