Michael Floyd to sign with Vikings

Jim Davis/Boston Globe

Former Patriots wide receiver Michael Floyd is set to sign a contract with the Minnesota Vikings in an attempt to re-establish his career after he spent 24 days in jail and is currently on house arrest in Arizona as a result of a December 2016 DUI arrest.

Floyd played in two regular season games and one playoff game with the Patriots, and was part of one of my favorite plays from last season.

Floyd was released by the Cardinals immediately after his arrest and was quickly scooped up by the Pats. He had expressed interest in coming back to New England, but the Brandin Cooks trade essentially ended Floyd's relationship with them.

His deal is a one-year, $1.5 million pact, but it could reach $6 million.
