Former Patriots center Bryan Stork tweeted last night that he is "stepping away" from professional football, but he isn't officially retiring.
Stork played a pivotal role as the center for the Patriots' championship team in 2014-15 but was supplanted by then-rookie David Andrews in 2015-16, partially due to a concussion he suffered in training camp.
The Patriots attempted to trade Stork to the Washington Redskins in August 2016, but he failed his physical with the Skins and was sent back to New England as a result. The Pats ended up putting him on waivers and he went unclaimed.
