Ryan Mallet signs with Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens have inked former Patriots backup quarterback Ryan Mallet to a deal that'll pay him up to $2.6 million in 2016, according to the NFL Network.
Other terms of the deal were not disclosed. Mallet will be the fourth quarterback used by the Ravens this season. Joe Flacco tore his ACL earlier in the year, his backup, Matt Schaub, has missed the last two games with a chest injury, and Jimmy Clausen was about as good as you'd expect him to be (23/40, 274 yards and one interception).
Mallet was most recently one of the players involved in the quarterback circus in Houston before they permanently decided on Brian Hoyer, another former Patriots backup.
