Patriots sign RB Montee Ball, WR DeAndre Carter

The Patriots have made a few minor roster moves today.

The team has signed running back Montee Ball, formerly of the Denver Broncos. With the news earlier today that LeGarrette Blount was seen walking on crutches as a result of a hip injury suffered on Sunday night in Houston, Ball figures to be an insurance policy.

Running back Montee Ball has a locker in the Patriots locker room.

The team also added some depth to its receiving corps by signing rookie DeAndre Carter, formerly of the Oakland Raiders.

The Patriots signed WR DeAndre Carter. He had a locker at Gillette.
