The Patriots defeated the Tennessee Titans 33-16 in their final regular season home game at Gillette Stadium.

New England put the game away early, as most expected they would. The would-be game-winning touchdown came by virtue of a Tom Brady touchdown pass to James White. White looked like he was going to be wrapped up right as he caught the ball, but he was able to shake away from a couple defenders and scampered 30 yards for the score.

Rob Gronkowski also got in on the act, scoring the first touchdown of the game.

Once again, the defense came up with a couple of big plays. With the Titans backed up deep in their own territory, Chandler Jones was able to strip the ball out of Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota's hands and Akiem Hicks recovered the ball in the end zone to put the Patriots up 14-0. Malcolm Butler also collected his first interception since Week 2 against Buffalo.

Mariota left the game with a right knee injury after he was sacked by Jamie Collins and did not return. He was replaced by backup Zach Mettenberger.

Brady finished the day going 23/35 for 267 yards and two touchdowns.

The Patriots once again suffered injuries to a few key players. Danny Amendola, Dont'a Hightower and Patrick Chung left the game at different points and none of them returned. Hightower was seen on the sideline in the second half, so keeping him out may just be precautionary.

The Patriots travel to MetLife Stadium next Sunday to take on the Jets.
