Report: Wes Welker signs one-year deal with St. Louis Rams
Wes Welker is back in the National Football League.
From Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network:
On his 1-year deal, #Rams WR Wes Welker can earn, along with his base, up to $700K in incentives based on playing time and catches.

The 34-year-old Welker saw his two-year deal with the Denver Broncos expire back in March and didn't get much (really anything at all) for contract offers from the other 31 teams in the league. Many in the media implored him to step away from the game after the numerous head shots he's taken throughout his 11-year-career.
But, Welker never officially handed in his retirement papers, and with the Rams needing to plug a hole at the position, the former Pro Bowler has now landed in St. Louis. You just have to wonder how effective of an option he can be for Nick Foles and the Rams offense.
In 167 career games, Welker has 890 receptions for 9822 yards and 50 touchdowns.
