Another One on the Shelf: Danny Amendola OUT vs. Broncos
Steve Burton of WBZ Boston first reported that wide receiver Danny Amendola was going to miss tomorrow's game against the Broncos due to the knee sprain he suffered on Monday night against the Bills.
Jeff Howe from the Boston Herald then reported a bit later that the decision had yet to be made on Amendola's availability. It seems we finally now have our answer on the matter.
CSNNE's Tom E. Curran reported that Amendola will in fact miss the contest, leaving the Patriots and Tom Brady to manage with just three healthy receivers - Brandon LaFell, Chris Harper and Kewshawn Martin. That's it.
Aaron Dobson's season came to an end when the team placed him on IR with a high ankle sprain. Julian Edelman is of course out due to his broken foot and subsequent surgery. If Brady and Co. are to come out on top against the #2 defense in the NFL, they'll have to rely heavily on the three aforementioned wide outs and tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Scott Chandler. It won't hurt to mix in some LeGarrette Blount and James White action on top of it.
But, if anyone can do it, it's Brady. We've seen him play behind a patchwork offensive line, and now he'll have to rack up yards and points with a depleted air attack. Make no mistake, it's going to be a slugfest at Mile High tomorrow night.
