Tom Brady must do more for Jim Kelly to believe
Mike Rodak, ESPN:
Jim Kelly was not surprised when Patriots' equipment manager John Jastremski told Tom Brady he "had no idea what happened " and couldn't explain why footballs were underinflated in the AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts. This was according to the June 23rd appeal hearing.
This is the second time in just over two months that Jim Kelly has been all over Tom Brady. On one hand, he calls Tom "the greatest QB in NFL history." On the other, he basically calls him a "liar." Kelly said, "Brady is in a situation right now, once you start to lie, you continue to lie and it keeps backfiring. I don't know whether Tom is telling the truth, but if it is me [and] I have nothing to hide, [I would say], 'What do you need to see?
The second week of the season has the New England Patriots at the Buffalo Bills. Jim Kelly is hoping to see how Tom Brady will do against the vaunted Bills' defense. Jim will get his wish. With Tom Brady at the helm against Buffalo, he has a 23-3 record with 58 TD's and 19 interceptions.
Tom Brady will not show his hand prior to the August 12 meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Jim Kelly is right that Tom Brady is hiding something. I predict Tom's phone will be in working order for the showdown with Roger. The phones are made with gorilla glass. They are built just like you, Jim.
My phone spent over three months in a snowbank just a few years back. When it was found, all that was needed was a charge, and it was good to go. All Tom Brady needs is clearance, and that will be happening very soon.

Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly believes that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady needs to be more open about defending his lack of involvement in the team's ball deflation scandal.
"Tom Brady's name is being tarnished. I hope and pray that something comes out to show he didn't do it," the former Buffalo Bills quarterback told ESPN's First Take Wednesday morning at Bills training camp. "Tom Brady needs to stand up and man up and say 'This is the way it is.'"
Kelly questioned whether there would be an equipment manager in the NFL who would "do something to a football" without letting the "greatest quarterback in football" know about it.
