BREAKING: Kyle Arrington signs three-year deal with the Ravens
Well that didn't take long...
In a tweet sent out by the official Ravens account, the team announced they have signed former Patriots cornerback Kyle Arrington to a three-year deal pending a physical. The news comes just hours after Jamison Hensely of ESPN wrote that Arrington would be a perfect fit in the Baltimore secondary. Something tells us he had an informed opinion on the matter.
Arrington was cut by the Patriots Monday afternoon in a surprise move from Bill Belichick, even by his usual standards. In an offseason that's already seen the team move on from Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner and Aflonzo Dennard, Arrington's release and subsequent move to Baltimore sees the Patriots lose one of the best slot corners in the NFL, while adding another question mark as to the future of the secondary as a whole.
As things currently stand, the Patriots depth chart in the defensive backfield consists of players such as Logan Ryan, Malcolm Butler, Robert McClain, Chimdi Chekwa, Bradley Fletcher and 2015 draft pick Darryl Roberts.
We have reached a 3-year deal with CB Kyle Arrington pending the passing of a physical.
