Reports: NFL zeroing in on Pats locker room attendant

Now that that's out of the way, onto the latest bit of news. As the league continues it investigation, reports have surfaced that the NFL is focusing it's efforts on one Patriots locker room attendant, according to the Boston Globe.
As the league investigates the Patriots for using underinflated footballs in the AFC Championship game, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported Monday that the NFL has “zeroed in” on a Patriots locker room attendant who allegedly took the game balls from the officials’ locker room to “another area” in Gillette Stadium on the way to the field.
Glazer reported that the NFL still hasn’t determined whether wrongdoing occurred, but the locker room attendant has been interviewed, is a “strong person of interest,” and there is video. It is unclear whether the video is from the Patriots’ security cameras at Gillette Stadium or from an outside source.
Hopefully, this leads to something. This whole thing is dragging on way too long in my mind. According to the Globe, Ted Wells said in a statement that this investigation could take several weeks still, which is crazy. And ridiculous. I understand the league wanting to get it right, but a multi-billion dollar organization should have been able to resolve this before now. Like I said above, if this were another team, it would be a complete non-issue, and now the league is saying it could drag on for a few weeks longer, at least according to the NFL.
Oh, if only they had investigated the Ray Rice deal with the same fervor.
