Love to hate them: Who is your most hated Raven?

The Baltimore Ravens are easy to hate. They employ players like Ray and Jamaal Lewis, Terrell Suggs, Bernard Pollard, and most recently Steve Smith. The team sported a collective rap sheet that rivals most penitentiaries and most of their players are known more for their jaw jacking and "bad boy" attitude.

It's such a nefarious crew that to choose just one player to hate is difficult but there are several players that stand out as players that are the "most hated" in the bunch.

Terrell Suggs

It's a well known fact that Terrell Suggs hates everything about the New England Patriots and more specifically Tom Brady. Suggs has waged a war of words against the Patriots quarterback for several years poking fun at him for everything from calling for flags after Ravens defenders dove at his legs to his something as simple as his hair saying things like, “I don’t think it’s appropriate for camera. I don’t like him. He don’t like me.  I don’t like his hair."

Suggs' hatred runs so deep that he can't even enjoy a Super Bowl win without spouting off about the Patriots. After the Ravens victory over the San Francisco 49'ers in Super Bowl XLVII Suggs made an appearance on Boston's WEEI to discuss the win and instead, ended up speaking on behalf of the entire league. "The other 31 teams hate the New England Patriots," Suggs said as he went on to imply that the Patriots don't have respect for any other team in the league. He would elaborate on the lack of respect by saying,
"The NFL is not very big. You think we don't talk to guys that have played for the New England Patriots, that have been on the New England Patriots that have been like, 'Oh, it's been like this.' It ain't just me. Why did Bart Scott say the same thing? You think it's just us? You think it's just got something to do with us? No. This is because we have inside information. We know."
All trash talk aside, it's not like Suggs has the best reputation in the world. He isn't speaking from some moral high ground. In 2009 CBS News reported that Suggs then girlfriend Candace Williams filed a complaint stating that Suggs allegedly threw a soap dispenser at her head. The complaint went on to describe how Suggs struck Williams in the chest and held a bottle of bleach over the heads Williams and the couples 1-year-old son.

Class act!

Steve Smith

Steve Smith is new to the Patriots/Ravens rivalry but his on field trash talk is well known. Last season when the Patriots played the Panthers on Monday Night Football, then Pats corner back Aqib Talib went toe to toe with Smith. Things got dicey after Smith torched Talib for 42 yards and immediately started trash talking, causing Talib to grab hold of Smith's face mask and resulting in a 15 yard personal foul penalty.

Smith is at his best when he is able to goad defenders into taking stupid penalties getting them off their game and forcing his way inside their heads. If he is able to engage Darrell Revis in his usual shenanigans, it might end up being a long evening for the Patriots, and hatred for Smith might soar to an all time high in New England.

Joe Flacco

Robert Deutsch, USA TODAY Sports
When you think about people easy to hate on the Ravens, Joe Flacco isn't the first name that comes to mind. He quietly goes about his business and wins big games. He is very similar to Tom Brady early in his career, performing his best on the games biggest stages. Flacco has won his last five playoff games including a Super Bowl. In those games, "Cool Joe" has thrown for 1399 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions.

Flacco's last playoff loss came against the Patriots in the 2012 AFC Championship. Despite losing, Flacco played well throwing for 306 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. In the closing minutes of the game, on 2nd and 1 from the Patriots 14 yard line, Flacco threw a perfect pass to wide receiver Lee Evans for what would have been his third touchdown on the day. Evans dropped the pass and the Ravens would go on to lose the game.

For a player that's so inconspicuous, always saying the right thing, never causing any trouble and barely ever (if at all) talking trash, he's easily hate-able. When you want him to make a mistake, he comes through in spades.

With less than a week until kickoff and the trash talk between the two teams just beginning, who is your most hated Raven? Which one of these purple wearing punks makes your blood boil the most?
