The Patriots are on to San Diego, literally

The Patriots suffered a close loss yesterday but Brady and company will not be licking their wounds in Massachusetts. Adam Schefter reported that the team is heading straight to California.

Being away from home for over a week is a first for the Patriots this season. When asked about the week long excursion to San Diego team captain Matthew Slater stated:

It's an opportunity for us to clear our minds, spend a lot of time together and just focus on the task at hand of playing the Chargers this week... I think you are right that it is a bit of a team-building experience. Hopefully we can make the most of it.

Though I'm sure Patriots players will miss their family and friends this week, they certainly will not miss the weather. Weather.com is projecting the temperatures to be in the 60's all week in the west coast city. In New England the expected average temperature is in the 40s.

Perhaps the extra time in San Diego will allow the Patriots to get to know the history of the city from legendary local news anchor Ron Burgundy.
