Judge throws out evidence in the Aaron Hernandez trial
A judge in the Aaron Hernandez case has ruled that the final text messages from Odin Lloyd will not be admissible in court.
ESPN Boston
Prosecutors say Lloyd sent the messages while in a car with Hernandez and suggested they showed he had become fearful. One said, "U saw who I'm with" and another indicated the person was "NFL," referring to Hernandez.
Defense lawyers called it "rank speculation" that the texts indicated fear and said they were inadmissible.
So it sounds like that "NFL" text from Lloyd to his sister on the night of his death will not be admitted in court. Huge for Hernandez

The judge has also ruled that the prosecution may not enter into evidence the shooting of former associate Alexander Bradley and also a photo from TMZ that shows Aaron Hernandez holding a gun.
Defense attorney James Sultan has said "It is critical that this trial be about the murder of Odin Lloyd" in his efforts to keep out other "bad acts" that have been reveled about his client, including his indictment in a double homicide in the Boston area in 2012.
Jury selection begins on January 5th.
