Cuba Gooding Jr. will be great as O.J. Simpson in FX murder trial

Cuba Gooding Jr. will star as O.J. Simpson in a new series on FX titled American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson according to multiple reports. The show comes from Ryan Murphy, the man behind the wildly popular (and unsettling) American Horror Story series.

American Crime Story is based on the book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson, and will view the events through the eyes of the lawyers involved in the trial.

I hope those aren't the glasses that Ron Goldman was returning to 875 South Bundy Dr. that were left at the Mezzaluna restaurant.

Sacco and Vanzetti murder trial(1920-1927), Leopold and Leob murder trial(1924), Lindbergh kidnapping(1935), Nuremberg trials(1945-1946), Adolph Eichmann trial(1961) and O.J.Simpson murder trial(1994 - infinity). There are so many unanswered questions that the FX series has a chance to stick around for another 20 years.

The June 17, 1994 O.J. chase interrupted Game 5 of the NBA finals between the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks. More than 95 million viewers tuned in to watch O.J. Simpson evade police in a white Ford Bronco. The famous incident was also the busiest day Domino's Pizza ever had. It made a star out of America's most famous house guest, Kato Kaelin.

Kaelin said, "Cuba's my friend. I think he's gonna do great."

Kaelin went on to say that Simpson "he had an arrogance about him" that is reminiscent of a football star Gooding already played. "I think [O.J.'s personality] is a lot like Cuba's character in 'Jerry Maguire,'" said Kaelin. "He wanted the attention ... that was pretty much O.J. Simpson."

In 1996, Ford discontinued manufacturing the Bronco.


Cuba Gooding Jr. will make it fit.


IF O.J. could have stayed like this, he could have starred as himself in the movie.
