It's great when new guys, whether it be new signings or a guy you got in a trade, fit in well almost right away in any sport. Jonathan Casillas is a good example of that - Casillas was a major player for the Patriots in every facet of their special teams against the Broncos on Sunday. He played in all four phases of special teams (punt return, punt coverage, kick off return, and kickoff coverage), and led the way with 3 special teams tackles according to Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston. Casillas was also one of 11 players to play in multiple phases of the special teams game.

Here's the full breakdown, according to ESPN Boston:
Four units
RB Brandon Bolden
LB Jonathan Casillas
S Nate Ebner
LB Chris White
S Tavon Wilson

Three units

CB Logan Ryan
WR Matthew Slater

Two units
WR Danny Amendola
S Patrick Chung
FB James Develin
S Don Jones

Look for Casillas to become an even bigger part of the special teams unit going forward. I think he'll become one of the core guys on the special teams unit during the rest of the season. Even if the Pats increase his defensive workload (like Akeem Ayers), I still see him being a factor in at least one (or more) of the "Big 4" special teams aspects that I mentioned above, which will be key for the Pats.
