ESPN has done it again with the 30 for 30 series. Each 30 for 30 chronicles various significant moments in sports told by featured filmmakers. The latest installment of this Emmy nominated series has once again caught my interest. Airing tonight, ESPN's 30 for 30 titled Rand University, tells the story of Randy Moss and his tough path to greatness.
Coming out of high school in the small Virginia town of Rand, Moss was an exceptional athlete who had the world in his hands. However, the talented Moss, was very close to being another casualty of an environment filled with poverty and crime.
As sports fans, we often forget that these athletes are human beings. 30 for 30 does a great job of touching all of our emotions through great storytelling. I am very anxious to see director, Marquis Daisy, show us the human side of one of my favorite New England Patriots.
Rand University airs tonight at 8 pm eastern on ESPN. Don't miss out!
