Brady in pole position for 3rd MVP

5 weeks is a long time in the football world. 5 weeks ago, Brady was in decline, reportedly frustrated with the team, etc, etc, etc. Now he's in pole position to win his 3rd MVP after dismantling the Denver Broncos and leading the Patriots to their 5th straight win (only one of which was really a game). Over the last 5 games, Brady has completed 133 of 197 passes for 1,601 yards, 18 touchdowns and only one interception. Last night, he went 33-53, 333 yards, 4 td's and the lone interception he's thrown in the last 5 games against a Broncos defense that's ranked 6th in points against and 4th in yards.

There are other contenders for sure - namely the guy he played last night, Peyton Manning (who will bounce back), Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray and Andrew Luck in Indianapolis, but right now, Brady is the front runner for the MVP through the first half. The other guys have plenty of time to make up lost ground, but Tom Brady looks like vintage Tom Brady right now and he'll be hard to stop.

Sorry, Peyton. No disrespect, but Brady's still better. And it looks like he's going to add a 3rd MVP this year and it's quite possible he adds a 4th Super Bowl ring as well.
