Wes Welker won't text Brady this week

The Patriots will face the Broncos in an epic showdown between two AFC juggernauts. However, if you are Tom Brady, don't expect any support texts from long time friend and former teammate, Wes Welker.

Jeff Howe from the Boston Herald captured Welker's response when asked about texting Tom Brady before Sunday:

This isn’t really a friend week this week, Welker said. So I don’t think so

OMG! Does this mean that Brady and Welker aren't like besties anymore? Or are they on just a break through Sunday?

Welker's response as quoted in Jeff Howe's article:

We just kind of text back and forth and different things like that, Welker said. It’s usually not about football or anything like that. It’s just really how he’s doing, the family and how my wife is doing and stuff like that."

Please allow me to apologize before I digress into a small personal rant about texting. I understand that it is a quick and painless way to communicate with someone without having a conversation. However, if you are friends with someone, you don't text back and forth like tweens. You pick up the damn phone like the good ol' days and talk to people. End of rant!

Despite my attitude towards texting, I thought it would be funny to simulate what a text conversation would look like between Wes Welker and Tom Brady. Enjoy!
