Report: Bill Belichick sent Darrelle Revis home yesterday as punishment, explaining his absence
Darrelle Revis' absence from Tuesday's practice confused many people.
He didn't appear to have suffered an injury in the team's last game against the Jets, and no explanation was given.
According to the latest report from Boston Globe NFL writer, Ben Volin, the star cornerback was sent home by his coach for being late.
Per @BenVolin, Bill Belichick sent Revis home yesterday after Revis showed up late. #Patriots

This isn't that abnormal for Bill Belichick to do. In fact his "be on time or don't show up at all" policy made the news back in 2009 when he sent home Randy Moss and gang for being late due to snow. Brandon Spikes was also apparently punished for being late last year as well.
This usually doesn't sit well with players, as Brandon Spikes and his agent made a big stink about it. For Revis' part, he said it was personal.
Revis on why he was missing from practice Wednesday: "[That's] between me and coach. Talk to him about it." #Patriots #Bears
