The Patriots responded with a big statement win against the Cincinnati Bengals, blowing them out at home, 43-17. Brady completed 23 of 25 passes for 292 yards and 2 touchdowns, becoming the 6th quarterback to hit 50,000 career passing yards in the process. The Patriots also rushed the ball very effectively behind 113 yards and a TD for Stevan Ridley and 90 yards for Shane Vereen. Tonight was also tight end Tim Wright's breakout performance, as he caught 5 passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. Rob Gronkowski also caught a touchdown pass from Brady and the pass that vaulted Brady over the 50,000 mark in the 1st quarter.

Darrelle Revis also did his part while on the field, virtually shutting down A.J. Green. Green caught 5 catches for 81 yards and a touchdown, but a lot of that came against Logan Ryan, who replaced Revis while Revis recovered from a hard hit in the 3rd.

The killer blow probably came in the 2nd half, when the Patriots forced a special teams fumble and returned it for a touchdown with 6:06 left in the 3rd quarter. That made it 34-10 Patriots, and put the game out of reach for the Bengals,
