"Wow", "class act" , "touching". These are just a few words that best described the thoughtful tribute to Leah Still, daughter of Bengals player Devon Still. Last night we witnessed a gesture that was bigger than the game. The Patriots organization demonstrated its class with the cheerleaders wearing Devon Still jerseys and with a video of children like Leah sharing their battle against cancer.

The long and rough journey of Leah and Devon Still began back in June of this year when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a tumor that develops in the nerve tissue of children and infants. Devon, going through some struggles of his own after failing to make the Bengals roster took to social media with a video of himself getting his daughter pumped up before her treatment. What started as a video asking for the prayers of friends, family, and fans quickly went viral. The video was so touching and moving that the Bengals organization took notice and signed Still to the practice squad. This significant and thoughtful move allowed Still to be covered under the Bengals insurance.

Still shared his reaction to the video going viral with Josh Elliott from NBC Sports:

When we first decided to make my daughter’s story public, we had a vision,” said Still, who has returned to Cincinnati’s active roster. “We wanted to bring as much awareness to pediatric cancer as possible.

If the tribute wasn't enough, Robert Kraft made a $25,000 donation to the Cincinnati Children's Medical Center in Leah's name. Just a class move by the Patriots organization from top to bottom. Given everything happening in the NFL, it is nice to see the media focus on the positive things that we rarely ever hear about. On behalf of the team at Patriots Life, I wish the best for Leah and everyone fighting cancer! Together we will beat it!
