Tight end injuries could mean more Justin Jones and James Develin in preseason

It's well known that the Patriots are looking for a backup tight end ever since Aaron Hernandez decided the NFL life was too easy for him and became a mass murderer. Plus with Gronk's injury history becoming all the more serious, a real number two (at times number one) tight end is needed on the roster. Well it seems that the Patriots will get a good long hard look at the backups to the backups this preseason:

With all these injuries to the tight end position, the Patriots are left with undrafted rookie Justin Jones and fullback/tight end/whatever you want him to be James Develin for the preseason, which starts tomorrow.
I'm glad we'll get such a long look at Jones simply because if he works out, he could be a steal. There already has been a lot of talk about Jones coming out of camp and hopefully he can prove, in a game situation, that all this talk is warranted. Plus at 6'8", he would be an enormous red zone target.
