Ryan Mallett worked out with Larry Fitzgerald in the offseason

According to a tweet from Mike Petraglia, Ryan Mallett had been working out with Arizona Cardinals star receiver Larry Fitzgerald an interesting twist on the Ryan Mallett ongoing saga. Mallett's name has been in trade talks ever since his first training camp.

It will be interesting to see how the Mallett saga plays outs this training camp and pre season as this is without a doubt a make or break pre season for Ryan Mallett if he wants to be traded and become a starting quarterback. With the Patriots drafting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in the second round of this past draft, it is obvious the Patriots are planning for life without Brady and are unsure whether Mallett is the answer.

The Cardinals current starting quarterback is Carson Palmer, but they also drafted a quarterback in this past draft. They drafted Virginia Tech's big quarterback Logan Thomas but he is by no means a guarantee in the NFL. So the Cardinals could potentially be in the market for a QB this pre season.
