Training Camp Report: Brandon Browner tries to fight everyone, key injuries, plus more tweets
The Patriots' secondary got manhandled physically in the AFC Championship game by Denver's offense. The result? No tickets to the Super Bowl.
So...enter Brandon Browner...
Brandon Browner gets heated:
Brandon Browner getting really hot under the collar. Has been pushing and jawing with Thompkins all morning.
— Ben Volin (@BenVolin) July 30, 2014
Then a coach flagged Browner for PI on LaFell, and Browner got in the coach's face. Had to be restrained by Justin Green

Also significant developments in the offensive line battles. Rookie Bryan Stork, who is expected to challenge Ryan Wendell for the starting center spot, was missing after being injured in yesterday's practice. If he misses significant time or is hampered by the injury, it could pave the way for Wendell to keep his spot. Belichick went out of his way to praise Wendell yesterday morning.
Injury Updates:
Dan Connolly is back at #Patriots practice.

Rookie center Bryan Stork, who walked off with athletic trainers midway through Tuesday's practice, is not present 2day (via @LeeSchechter).

Not practicing: Stork, Boyce, White, Dobson, Slater, Easley, Hooman, Gallon, Thomas, Skinner, Martin and Gaffney

Tommy Kelly is participating in 11-on-11s and 1-on-1s. I'd expect him to come off PUP today.

Also some more Brady vs Revis fiasco ensued today.
Highlights:
1-on-1 from 10-yard line: Revis vs. Edelman and Brady didn't even bother to make the throw.
— Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) July 30, 2014
Amendola with sweet one-handed grab of his own during goalline one on ones, with Patrick Chung in coverage. #Patriots
— Tim Whelan Jr. (@thattimwhelan) July 30, 2014
Brady and LaFell beat Revis on a perfect throw to corner of end zone on a later rep.
— Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) July 30, 2014
Redemption: Shane Vereen finally hauls in a perfectly-thrown wheel fade from Brady for a touchdown. Dropped it in over Jamie Collins
— Ben Volin (@BenVolin) July 30, 2014
Browner intercepted Brady in 11v11s
— Mark Daniels (@MarkDanielsPJ) July 30, 2014
Not a great day for the offense today. Lots of incomplete passes and drops.
— Mark Daniels (@MarkDanielsPJ) July 30, 2014
All we've heard of Kenbrell Thompkins thus far is how much he's improved. Ben Volin has a different opinion.
Other Notes:
Kenbrell Thompkins isn't exactly seizing his opportunity this camp. Just had another bad drop in 11-on-11 drills. Becoming too frequent
— Ben Volin (@BenVolin) July 30, 2014
“@SteveB7SFG: Logan Ryan getting some safety reps at Patriots. TC” could it be my dream come true? Two free safeties with press man???
— Adam Bogdan (@PatriotsInform) July 30, 2014
The "Super Friends" are working together again in a drill -- Brady, Gronk and Revis
— Ben Volin (@BenVolin) July 30, 2014
Today is the first day I've noticed Revis generally shadowing one player. He's been covering Edelman almost the entire practice
— Ben Volin (@BenVolin) July 30, 2014
Garoppolo only threw two passes in team drills all practice. 0-1 in both 7-on-7 and 11-on-11. Strange downturn in reps.
— Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) July 30, 2014
Brady was 10 of 18 in 11s and 2 of 4 in 7s. Mallett 7 of 17 in 11s, 1 of 3 in 7s.
— Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) July 30, 2014
Entire team is running hill sprints at the end of practice. Not sure if this is scheduled, or is a penalty for a sloppy practice
— Ben Volin (@BenVolin) July 30, 2014
Brady targeted Amendola on four consecutive plays at one point.
— Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) July 30, 2014
In case you were wondering:
Music cranking at Patriots practice today. Springsteen's "Glory Days" and "Mary's Place" among notable tunes. Heavy U2 & Tom Petty as well.
