MassLive: Dobson could be ready for Training Camp

Per Masslive.com, sophomore wide receiver Aaron Dobson, who underwent foot surgery that caused him to miss spring practices, could be back in time for training camp. However MassLive did report that it's too early to be sure, as he was originally expected to be back for last month's mini camp.

The source added that it is still too early to be certain of Dobson’s status, but this is the first time since his March surgery that anyone has spoke of his situation with optimism.

Dobson’s projected recovery was initially set at 2-3 months, which should have put him on the field for last month’s minicamp.

Dobson originally injured his foot in Week 12, returned and re-aggravated it against the Buffalo Bills in Week 16, and played limited time in the AFC championship against the Denver Broncos. Dobson caught 37 passes for 519 yards during his rookie campaign and is expected to be a major contributor this season, according to MassLive.

That is, assuming he puts some glue on his hands. While he had some good moments, he also had plenty of drops during the season, leading some fans (me included, mind you) to rechristen him "Dropson." He'll need to do something about that if he wants to have a bigger impact in his sophomore season (my suggestion of glue still stands). I do think he can do it, but as I just mentioned, he'll have to do something about the drops.
