Jamie Collins burst onto the scene last year during the AFC Divisional game against the Colts. He showed rare versatility for a rookie, and left Patriots fans wanting more.
He showcased his versatility; rushing the passer, intercepting one of the leagues best young quarterbacks, and stopping the run recording six tackles. After that performance, many Patriot fans wanted to see more of Collins, and they're wish may come true this season if he is able to stay healthy and keep on learning.
According to CSNNE.com's Phil Perry Collins is ready and feeling more comfortable in his second season in the Patriots defense.
" I know a lot more, I am playing faster. Last year I had to learn everything. Now I know most of it.
If he is learning the defense like he claims to be, then Collins is in for a big year. He will be able to provide the Patriots strong depth and versatility. Being able to play multiple positions and do many things effectively is huge if you want to see the field in Bill Belichick's defense.
Look for Jamie Collins to be huge factor in the defense this year, as he should take the leap to being a full time three down player for the Patriots.
