The Bucs are expected to release CB Darrelle Revis by 4pm ET Wednesday.

Accoridng to espn.com, the Buccaneers have to move fast, because the Jets fourth round pick (which they got for Revis) will become a third round pick if he is on the roster past the 4pm deadline. But a trade before the free agency is out of the question. Revis has a salary of $16 million a year, and there is no way that the Patriots or anybody else is going to go after that.
But come Wednesday, the Revis situation is going to become a firestorm in terms of teams, and you can guarantee that the Patriots will be barking down that alley in full force. To be totally honest, he would be a very welcomed addition to the roster, and will be a great sign if and when the Patriots sign him.
What do you think? Is it in the best interest for the Patriots to sign Revis? Leave a comment below or tweet us at @Patriotslife
