Patriots have talked about signing Darrelle Revis internally

Many rumors have been flying after a recent report that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers intend to cut Darrelle Revis and his massive $16 million/year salary.

The Pats have a need at cornerback, if they can't re-sign Aqib Talib, and that means they will certainly be in on Revis if he's made available.

The Pro Bowl corner still has plenty left. Even after what some would call a down year in 2013, recovering from ACL surgery, he was still ProFootballFocus's number 1 corner in the game.

Still, even though he'll have some money from the Bucs after being cut, it's not likely he will come cheap. Still, the fact that he is at least being talked about as a backup plan should have your ears perking up if Talib is not a Patriot at 4 PM today. If Talib walks, Revis could take his place.
