Julian Edelman talks about how his "dog" Tom Brady wanted him to stay in New England
Edelman on Brady "It would be very tough to leave him because he's my dawgggggg." #PatriotsTalk

Or as Mike Reiss would put it
Julian Edelman on Tom Brady: "I couldn't [leave my] guy. He's [my] dog."

Julian Edelman was Tom Brady's favorite wide receiver last year.
He targeted him, like, all the time (Edelman's 151 targets were 10th most in the league) and the two built an instant connection. Over 100 catches later, and the once seventh round quarterback has cashed in with a four year deal to stay with the Patriots.
He spoke with reporters today, said the above line about being dogs and much more. While Edelman made it clear that he and Brady are dogs, he expanded on that a bit, saying that Brady actually reached out to him to say he wanted him to stay.
Edelman said Brady let it be known that he wanted him back with the Patriots.

Edelman: Brady also told him to take care of himself and his family.

Edelman also says he feels a bit better now about his job security after signing his recent deal with the team. Apparently he felt like he could be cut at anytime before, which is a pretty reasonable thing for a guy making just over $700,000 to think. Now he'll be around for at least two more years based on how his four year contract is structured. Yay.
He also talked about how much he loves Boston, how visiting San Francisco was a dream for him, and then he threw this weird one in there when asked about being on the set of the Entourage movie.
Edelman says you have to ask coach Belichick if he’ll be in the Entourage movie. #wtf

Oh, also the main takeaway a lot of people had from Edelman's conference call was whether or not dog is spelled "dog" or "dawg".
I didn’t know so many people read into the proper usage of dog vs. dawg. And here I thought I was “hood.”

Yup.
