We've known for almost a week now that Revis and the Patriots had reached an agreement on a contract. However, Revis had yet to put ink to paper until today, when he signed his deal after taking his physical.
Per his agents, Darrelle Revis has signed his contract with the New England Patriots.

This locks Revis in for a $6.5-$7 million cap hit for 2014 (for our detailed analysis of his contract, click here). It's currently unclear how much cap space the Patriots have because we haven't heard details on either Julian Edelman or Brandon LeFell's contracts. OvertheCap currently has them at $10.38 million in space, a figure that including Revis' $7 million, but has yet to factor in Brandon Browner (estimated at $2.95 million by Miguel from Patscap), Edelman or LeFell.
Of course, those numbers also include $11.6 million for Vince Wilfork, who has yet to have his request for a release granted by the Patriots. The only way Vince is back with the Patriots next year is on a lowered number, and cutting him outright would open up $8 million in space.
We'll get you updated on the Patriots cap situation as soon as the details of Julian Edelman and Brandon LeFell's contracts become known. In the meantime, just enjoy the sight of this.
