Dennis Pitta signs 5-year deal to stay with Ravens
Earlier this week our own Anthony Aidonidis posted "A Call to Arms" piece on potential Ravens free-agent Dennis Pitta. That is no longer a possibility as Pitta has signed a five-year deal to remain with the Ravens. The deal is reportedly worth somewhere in the neighborhood of 32 million dollars.
Pitta missed the majority of this past season after suffering a dislocated hip in training camp. In four games, he caught 20 catches on 33 targets for 169 yards and a touchdown. This comes after he had an excellent 2012 season and was a major contributor to Baltimore's Super Bowl run.
Considered to be one of the better free-agent names to potentially hit the free-agent market this offseason, Pitta is now officially off the table as a possible solution at tight-end for the Patriots, who will now likely look to the draft to add a player at the position.
