The Drop seen around the world... round 3
courtesy NY Daily News |
This marks the third round of scrutiny for Welker, who quite frankly, doesn't want to hear it anymore. He responded to the questions with dignity and repose stating, "You know what? I don’t even think about it. The past is the past. What happened, happened.”
He even stated that he doesn't even think of the last SuperBowl, and that he only looks forward to this one coming up. But Giants safety Antrel Rolle also chimed in to the situation, stating that if Welker catches that ball, the Patriots win (no, really? I would of never guessed). But he also had this to say to the NY Daily News...
“Can Wes make that catch? Yeah, he can. I think Wes can make that catch. But it wasn’t an easy catch to make because he would have had to almost turn his body complete 180 to make that catch.”
But can it all be Welker's fault? I personally do not think so. I think Brady also played a part in this game, and the loss that ensued... It takes more than one play to lose a game, and there are always the "what if" moments that we have to look at.
Either way, all he has to look forward to is Sunday and a possibility of winning.
