Fear the Beard - Logan Mankins style

It's well documented that athletes growing beards equals championships - the 2010 San Francisco Giants had Brian Wilson's beard, the 2012 Giants team had Sergio Romo, and of course, the 2013 Red Sox. Now, it's the Patriots turn. More specifically, Logan Mankins and Rob Ninkovich, both of whom have pretty legendary beards.

According to CSNNE, Mankins has been growing his out for most of the season.

"It's not a full season," Mankins said. "But it's a good part of it. I was glad we had it yesterday. It was pretty cold out there."

Mankins also joked that Rob Ninkovich has PED's in his beard. It's that good, according to Mankins.

"Rob, he's got a nice beard," Mankins said. "I think he's got some PEDs in there or something, but it looks good."

When he was asked his favorite beard on the Red Sox, he said the "ones with a little gray." Meaning David Ross. Will his beard empower the Patriots to victory? O sure hope so. It's been too long since the Patriots have tasted Super Bowl glory.
