Geno Smith's Turnover-Filled Meltdown leads to Jets Blowout Loss

Geno Smith was particularly bad, with the rookie committing four turnovers (1 fumble, 3 interceptions) before getting pulled for Matt Simms. Despite finishing 8 of 23 for 103 yards Rex Ryan did say after the game that Geno would still be the starter going forward.
Via PFT:
“We’ll look at everything as we go, but again, but I don’t think it’s fair to place it on one man. We have to take a hard look at what we’re doing, but I would say Geno is our starting quarterback against Baltimore next week.”Geno's benching also served as a good reminder that David Garrard is, somehow, still in the league and available as a backup option for the Jets.
When Geno wasn't committing turnovers, the Jets defense was allowing EJ Manuel to calmly complete 20 of his 28 passes for 245 yards and 2 touchdowns. Not the best start for Ed Reed's Jets career.
Geno and the Jets will look to continue their season-long "win one, lose one" pattern on the road next week against Baltimore.
