Fantasy Fix: Week 11 Start 'Em/Sit 'Em
Can you smell what the Guru is cooking? No, it’s not hash brownies. That scent is emanating from Dwayne Bowes car. I’m smelling playoffs, my Fantasy friends.
Every victory gets us one step closer to the Shiva, every loss gets us one step closer to a court ordered anger management class. I lost a game last week by .08 of a point. That kind of demoralizing defeat is dangerous to my psyche and my liver.
Let’s get right to it. Line ‘em up, it’s the Week 11 start ‘em and sit ‘ems.
Start ‘Em
Quarterback
Robert Griffin III, (WAS) at Phi: RGIII has averaged 26 FPG against the Eagles in his career. The Birds have given up 306 passing yards per game and have allowed 38 passes of 20+ yards. 38?! It’ll be 58 after this one.
Running Back
Andre Ellington, (ARI) at Jac: If you can read, write and do the ol’ arithmetic you will see that Ellington is averaging 7.2 YPC. Rashard Mendenhall is averaging 3.07. One of these numbers is > than the other. I know math is hard , but play Ellington versus the Jaguars.
Wide Receiver
Riley Cooper, (PHI) vs. Was: Cooper has caught 15 passes for 393 yards and six touchdowns from Nick Foles this season. Foles is hotter than a Trent Richardson sex tape right now. Foles may not throw seven touchdowns again, but Riley might catch a couple against the ‘Skins this week.
Tight End
Jordan Cameron, (CLE) at Cin: Cameron had 10 catches for 91 yards and a touchdown against the Bengals earlier this year. Light a candle and hope he does it again. Three tight ends have scored double digits in Fantasy points against Cincy this year, and five have scored touchdowns, including Dallas Clark. Yes, Dallas freaking Clark.
Defense/Special Teams
New York Jets at Buf: The Bills may not have WRs Stevie Johnson or Robert Woods. CJ Spiller is limping around. QB EJ Manuel is just coming back from a knee injury. The Jets just added Ed Reed. This could get ugly. Expect double-digit Fantasy points from the J-E-T-S.
Sit ‘Em
Quarterback
Colin Kaepernick, (SF) at NO: Kaepernick had four Fantasy points last week. FOUR! In his last three games, he hasn’t topped 200 yards passing and has only thrown 1 TD. Think the 9ers wish they had Alex Smith now?
Running Back
Trent Richardson, (IND) at Ten: Richardson made news this week and it had nothing to do with the length of his runs. He’s averaging 12 inches a carry this year which is the same number of inches as his…never mind. Just don’t start him.
Wide Receiver
Steve Smith, (CAR) vs. NE: Smith hasn’t scored in his past three games, and he has yet to go over 70 receiving yards in a game this year. The Pats get CB Aquib Talib back this week. Mr. Smith goes to the Fantasy bench.
Tight End
Heath Miller, (PIT) vs. Det: Miller doesn’t look fully recovered from that knee surgery. He had one catch last week. That’s one more than I had Sunday and my knee is fine.
Defense/Special Teams
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Det: Stafford, Megatron, Bush. That is all.
