Aqib Talib and Kenbrell Thompkins inactive against Steelers
The Patriots have declared their game day inactives, and Aqib Talib is one of them.
Talib has been arguably the team's MVP thus far. When on the field, he's shut down the likes of Julio Jones, Vincent Jackson and Jimmy Graham. However, he sustained a hip injury in a week 7 win over the Saints.
Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston speculated that the team might prefer to keep Talib out through the bye week, as he continues to rehab that that hip. Talib was not spotted in pre-game workouts with the secondary.
Thompkins is a big surprise, but not that shocking after he saw only around 12 snaps last week. He's struggled with drops and getting on the same page as Tom Brady, and looks like he's been passed on the depth chart by both Austin Collie and Aaron Dobson.

#PPGS #Patriots CB Aqib Talib (l.hip) is inactive, as are rookie WRs Kenbrell Thompkins, Josh Boyce (healthy scratches) today vs #Steelers.
