Winning like the Broncos? Or like the Patriots?
Easy question, with a not so easy answer. Or is it? Which would you prefer? Winning like the Broncos are? Or like the Patriots? Here's my answer and here's why.
Win like the Patriots. Why? Because of one word, potential. The Broncos offense has been dominating defenses all season to mush dismay of the defensive coordinators. And while Denver's defense isn't great, it certainly has a good ceiling with big name players, but that's about where the good words end because the Broncos offense is already peaking week in and week out while the Patriots offense has hit the 30 point mark barely twice this season. The offense my no means has peaked yet.
Combine that with the more than stellar defense, especially from guys who didn't even think would get much playing time this season like Chris Jones. And you have a pretty solid well rounded team that is only bound to get better. Is it risky to believe in the Patriots offense? Sure, but as long as Tom Brady is back there throwing the ball around, you've got to like your chances. Don't get me wrong, taking the Broncos would be a joy because you know you'll most likely see a high scoring game.
But at the end of the day, an offense with room to improve, a defense that has improved and will only gel more during the season. And still have a record of 6-2? I'd take winning like the Patriots in a heartbeat.
