The Patriots Road to MetLife Stadium MVP of Week 7 is....
As we announced after Week 1, we're looking to chronicle the Patriots quest on the Road to MetLife Stadium for the Super Bowl. To do this, we're highlighting heroes from each and every game. A weekly Patriots MVP voted by you!
Over the past week, we've asked you guys to weigh in on who you believed was the hero of the Week 7 loss to the New York Jets.
So, your Road to MetLife Stadium Week 7 MVP was...
Obviously, with the team losing this one was a tough choice. It comes down to who have the team the best chance to win. Rob Gronkowski provided a slight boost to the offense, as Brady finally had a go-to receiver. However, despite Gronk's big day, the offense as a whole struggled, particularly in that third quarter. Still, Gronk picked up plenty of first downs for the team, including a few on the team's final drive of regulation to tie the game. The tight end will have to continue to shoulder a lot of the load for this offensive unit going forward.
Gronk wins the MVP award as soon as he returns, I'd expect it won't be his last.
How big of a winner was Gronk?
He receives the Road to MetLife Stadium honor with 60% of the vote.
Behind him was Chandler Jones with 15%.
Then, Aqib Talib with a sarcastic 10% (he didn't play, and you could tell)
Chris Jones with 7.5%
Stephen Gostowski with 7.5%
Remember, look out every day after the Patriots game for the Road to MetLife Stadium Patriots MVP poll. Every vote earns you an entry into a raffle to win the end of the year Patriots MVP's jersey.
Who do you think will come out with the most votes when the year is over? Who will be the MVP in Sunday's game? Sound off in the comments!
