Patriots CBs ready to go, even if Talib is not

It is no secret, the Patriots active roster is FILLED with injuries. So many in fact that you can't help but cringe when you see names such as Amendola, Vereen, Wilfork and Mayo. Now there is another name possibly being added to that list, Aqib Talib.

Talib left last week's game against the Saints with a strained hip flexor, an injury that is not horrible, but at the same time you hope it wouldn't keep him out. Well, he has missed two practices this week, and everything points to a scratch for the Patriots Cornerback. It is difficult at this point to imagine things can get any worse for the Patriots, although both Brady and Belichick are maintaining a positive attitude towards the situation, which seams to help out just a bit. Kyle Arrington was able to chime in on that positive attitude to the Boston Herald earlier today.

“No one man is bigger than a defense or a team, it’s a machine. We’re all moving parts. We just do our jobs, man. That’s everybody. Try to win our one-on-one battles, be as good as we can individually so we can help our team collectively.”

Talib is also a surefire candidate for Defensive player of the year, which will hopefully not be put into question to much with him being out, even if it is for hopefully just one week. So far this year, Talib has 4 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, and 9 broken up passes, which is more then Denard and Arrington combined.
