Patriots working out Andre Carter
Former Patriots defensive end was recently cut by the Raiders.
He shined with the Pats in his near season of work, before suffering a terrible injury late in the season and missing the rest of the year. After some squabbles over money, Carter was no longer a Patriot and became a Raider.
Could he now come back?
Filed to @ESPNBoston: The Patriots worked out veteran DE Andre Carter today, per a source. Carter had 10 sacks for the team in 2011.

Carter was one of the best defenders on a defense that had a formidable pass rush for the only time in years. Our own Ned Brady tackled this topic last week. Personally, I see no disadvantage to bringing in Carter.
I was a strong proponent of bringing in either John Abraham or Dwight Freeney to mentor Chandler Jones. Since those are no longer options, I'm all for bringing Carter back.
