Patriots release Marquice Cole

The Patriots have gone on a frenzy of releasing players, the most recent one is cornerback Marquice Cole.

Cole made some good plays in preseason, but has largely been outmatched in the regular season playing time he did get. When Cole was getting playing time in the AFC Championship game against the Ravens, it was obvious the team was in deep trouble.

The Patriots are now thin at cornerback, but the move does make sense considering the crowded secondary the Patriots do have with all of the safeties on the team.
