Ridley back in action after tweaking hamstring
On Tuesday running back Stevan Ridley was unable to finish practice after apparently tweaking a hamstring. However, it appears to have been very minor, as Jeff Howe reports he was back in action on Wednesday and at 100%.
This is good news, as Ridley will likely lead the charge this year out of the Patriot's backfield. He should have plenty of support, as Shane Vereen, Brandon Bolden, and newcomer Legarrette Blount are all young players with varying degrees of potential and success to this point in their careers.
Ridley has proven to be the most talented of the bunch thus far. While he has had some ball security issues, for the most part he has exceeded expectations and been an extremely dynamic and dangerous back. He became an integral part of the team's offense last year and that is likely to continue this season.
His season ended abruptly in the AFC Championship game when he was literally knocked out cold by Bernard Pollard. But in this case, looks like we've got nothing to worry about.
